Space — Time — Place

A study of the ephemeral relationship created between the onerous nature of a jail and its transient inhabitants, this film seeks to embody the affects impressed on a participant of the space.

It is a representation of reality, one foreign to most. Through this lens we imagine one’s personal experience in the environment; the eventual collapse of one’s notion of linear time, the repetition of seemingly futile actions and one’s ultimate alienation from society. This focus is emphasized by the atmospheric treatment of light and shadow, the spatial relationships formed by the depth of movement of the protagonist and the realm of ambience initiated by the simple, poignant mantra of the soundtrack.
